Vietnam tourism surges in Q1 2025

category : DYV NEWS

Vietnam’s tourism landscape is experiencing a remarkable transformation, with over 6 million international visitors arriving in the first quarter of 2025—a 29.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024.  This surge not only highlights Vietnam’s growing appeal but also introduces several enhancements that make exploring this vibrant country more accessible and enriching than ever before.

Visa Exemptions

Vietnam has recently expanded its visa exemption policies to facilitate easier access for international travelers:
Extended Visa Exemptions: As of March 15, 2025, citizens from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland can enjoy visa-free entry for stays up to 45 days, valid through March 14, 2028.
Temporary Exemptions: Additionally, travelers from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland benefit from visa exemptions for stays up to 45 days, applicable from March 1 to December 31, 2025.

The Vietnamese government is actively considering further expansions to its visa exemption program to attract more international visitors.

Not on the exemption list? Don’t worry—Discover Your Vietnam can handle your visa arrangements and expedite your on-arrival process, ensuring a seamless start to your Vietnamese adventure.
