Discover Your Vietnam staff will greet you at Hanoi’s Noi Ba airport, so keep an eye out for our smiling guides and signature logo. After a long day travelling, we will be on hand with some cold drinks and light snacks. Our guide will have the journey to help tell you about the plans for the holiday and answer any questions you may have. No matter what time you arrive we always recommend this day to get settled into the Vietnamese culture, take a short walk around your local neighbourhood and go for some nice sundowners at a rooftop bar overlooking Hanoi.

On day two, you will start the morning with a private guided tour of Hanoi, taking you to all the important sites such as Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, The Temple of Literature and One Pillar Pagoda and other sites of significance to help you get your bearings. After a tasty lunch at one of our favourite local restaurants, you will have some time for relaxation before heading out on a Vintage Vespa Foodie Tour, to sample some of the best street foods in Hanoi.

On day three, it will be an early rise and travel by bus to Sapa. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the stunning Vietnamese countryside. Once we arrive in Sapa, we will take a cable car up Fansipan Mountain – often referred to as “the Roof of Indochina” – where you can admire breathtaking views of the Hoang Lien Son range. After this, you will go back to the hotel in Sapa and take a walk around the town to explore before having a delicious fresh dinner.

We will start the morning with an early breakfast before travelling to where we will start our trek. This adventurous two day/one night trek of the Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa, accompanied by a guide who is a member of one of Vietnam’s minority ethnic groups, promises to be an incredible experience. You can explore traditional villages and experience how the locals live in this stunning rural environment. You will also enjoy some delicious, home cooked food at her house and do some absolutely incredible hiking as you make your way through the Muong Hoa Valley.

On the fifth day, you will continue on with the hike, after a homemade breakfast. Enjoy more amazing views, babbling brooks and incredible scenery and in the early afternoon finish the hike. From there we will head to Topas Ecolodge where you can really relax. Lounge in the infinity pool or have some massage treatments for your achy limbs.

In the morning, you are free to take it easy and relax in the pool or if you are feeling active, take a last walk in the surrounding Sapa countryside. In the afternoon you will travel back to Hanoi by bus where you can enjoy some free time to explore beer street for live music and a delicious meal.

Day 7 starts with a pick you up from your Hanoi hotel and take a coach journey to Ha Long Bay. Once you arrive at the pier, you will board a a luxury cruise ship and sail around the bay. Enjoy lunch on the cruise ship as well as amazing views of the limestone formations, take a short boat trip through caves, maybe even take part in a cooking class, have a delicious dinner and even go night fishing. It is absolutely one of our favourite experiences in Vietnam!

On Day 8, you will start with an optional sunrise Tai Chi class, at 6am. However, if you don’t want to get up that early, there is a morning kayak so you can get up close and personal with the limestone karsts. This is followed by a lovely breakfast, as the cruise ship begins to sail back to the departure point. Then disembark the cruise ship and take a ride on a seaplane over Ha Long Bay to experience one of the most beautiful views in Vietnam.

On the ninth day, you will fly to Danang and then travel to Hoi An. Here, you will be greeted by a private tour guide who will take you around this beautiful UNESCO world heritage site, giving you all the insider tips where you can choose from a range of activities such as historic tours, visiting a traditional tailor or lantern making. After a long day of exploration, why not enjoy a delicious dinner in a great Vietnamese restaurant and wine bar.

On Day 10, start off with a cycle ride in the Hoi An countryside, where you can head through some beautiful Vietnamese scenery or visit the Marble Mountains which offers excellent views! In the afternoon, there will be a traditional Vietnamese cooking class, where an experienced chef will help to teach you the tips and tricks to make some signature Vietnamese dishes. Finish the day by exploring the Hoi An night market and taking a lantern cruise down the Hoi An river.

On the eleventh day, you will have a poolside relax in Hoi An or last minute explore before flying to Ho Chi Minh City. Once at your hotel, you will be greeted by a private tour guide who will take you around the city and show some of the major sites of importance such as Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral. For dinner, enjoy a 3 course evening dinner cruise along the Saigon River, to see the wonderful Saigon skyline.

Day 12 will start with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels which was an important site during the Vietnam War. The Cu Chi tunnels are an impressive network of underground tunnels and chambers where the Viet Cong would live, fight and hide. After a long day, take some time to relax in your hotel before embarking on a foodie tour that evening where you can try some of the best food in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the thirteenth day, you will set off early from Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta is one of the most important rivers in Vietnam and is considered the ricebowl of Vietnam with smiling locals. Here you will get to explore coconut and fruit farms, go on a luxury cruise and explore Vietnam’s countryside. This is a great way to immerse yourself in this rustic rural culture for an unforgettable experience. Return to HCMC that evening after a great day exploring.

On this day you will fly to the beautiful Phu Quoc island, to experience some of the most stunning views in Vietnam. In the afternoon head out on a small group snorkeling and speedboat tour around the islands. Enjoy an adventure filled with discovering exotic fishes and taking in breathtaking scenery. For dinner indulge yourself with a luxurious Vietnamese dinner to end off the day.

On the last day, take some time to relax and soak up the beautiful sights of Phu Quoc beaches. In the afternoon there are two activities you can choose from: either sea kayaking and fresh seafood BBQ at Half Moon Bay or for something less active, like minigolf in a beautiful beach bar. To end your trip spend your evening with some free time and a delicious dinner spot.

On day 16 it’s time to say goodbye to Vietnam, after a wonderful and memorable stay. Have a final relax on the sunny shores of Phu Quoc before heading to the airport for your flight home. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City airport, looking back on the incredible experiences, sights, and foods that we have enjoyed over the past two weeks.
