Hoan Kiem lake is a wonderful spot to walk around, relax and see the pagodas on the lake, you might even see a couple of small turtles poking their heads out of the water. While at night, it transforms into a bustling walking street. The lake’s name is derived from a beloved Vietnamese legend involving a turtle, a Vietnamese king and the fabled sword which led him to victory.
