Discover Your Vietnam staff will greet you at Hanoi’s Noi Ba airport, so keep an eye out for our smiling guides and signature logo. After a long day travelling, we will be on hand with some cold drinks and light snacks. Our guide will have the journey to help tell you about the plans for the holiday and answer any questions you may have. No matter what time you arrive we always recommend this day to get settled into the Vietnamese culture, take a short walk around your local neighbourhood and go for some nice sundowners at a rooftop bar overlooking Hanoi.

On day 2, you will be picked up early so that you can explore the charming streets of Hanoi. Our local guide will take you on a walking tour of the city informing you of the fascinating history of this amazing town, accompanied by some delicious Vietnamese street food bites to keep your energy up. In the afternoon, we’ll give you some free time to explore Hanoi on your own, do some shopping and explore a little more at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll take you on a fun and exciting Vespa foodie tour of Hanoi. You’ll cruise through the city’s bustling backstreets, taking in the sights and smells of this beautiful city while feasting on some of the best local street food that Hanoi has to offer.

On day 3, you will travel to Sapa by private car. The journey is a beautiful one, as you’ll pass through the mountains and lush green countryside of Northern Vietnam. Once you arrive in Sapa, we’ll check you into your luxury MGallery Hotel where you can rest and relax after your long journey. In the early afternoon, you’ll take a cable car up Fansipan mountain for some incredible views over Sapa and the surrounding countryside. Fansipan is called the ‘ceiling of Indochina’ and is the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. We’ll end the day with a delicious dinner at one of Sapa’s many fantastic restaurants.

On day 4, you will begin your trek through Muong Hoa Valley, a beautiful region of Sapa surrounded by lush green hills. You’ll be picked up bright and early in the morning by a local guide who is an expert on the area and its people. After a short drive, you’ll visit Ethos, a fantastic social enterprise where local artisans use traditional techniques to create beautiful handmade products. Then, you will set off on your trek through the gorgeous Sapa hills and ethnic minority villages. Along the way, you’ll enjoy delicious fresh food from the market, learn about Buddhist traditions and customs in Vietnam, and discover the unique culture of this magical region. At the end of your day, you’ll rest in a traditional homestay with a local family and enjoy a hearty home-cooked dinner. Rest after dinner and if it’s a clear night, see some of the incredibly beautiful stars.

On day 5, you will continue your trek through the beautiful Sapa hills. This time, you’ll be able to see even more incredible views of the surrounding countryside and its people. As you make your way through the rugged landscape and small villages, say hi to the waving children and friendly locals. In the early afternoon, you’ll arrive at Topaz Ecolodge, a luxury eco-resort that sits on a cliff overlooking Muong Hoa Valley. You’ll be able to relax and unwind in this serene setting, with spa treatments and massages available if desired. Soak up the gorgeous views while enjoying delicious local cuisine prepared by the lodge’s talented chefs. Whether you’re spending your time taking in the views, exploring on foot or just relaxing and savoring the peace and quiet, Topaz Ecolodge is a wonderful place to end your final evening in Sapa.

On day 6, you will start your final day in Sapa with a delicious breakfast at the Topaz Ecolodge. Then, you can choose to swim in the infinity pool and take in the beautiful surroundings before heading back to Hanoi. We’ll arrive back in the evening around 7pm and check into the hotel, then head for a relaxing and delicious meal. After that, you can continue exploring Hanoi at your own pace or simply head back to your hotel for the night before a bumper day tomorrow.

On day 7, you will begin your journey to Ha Long Bay, one of the most stunning and beautiful regions in Vietnam. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning and taken to board a cruise ship for a 2-day adventure through the serene waters of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch onboard the ship, and then have the afternoon free to relax on the boat and take in all of the beautiful scenery. Some activities include swimming in the warm waters, kayaking through some caves, taking part in a cooking class, or simply soaking up all of the natural beauty around you. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner, as well as some fun activities like squid fishing and karaoke.

On your final day in Ha Long Bay, you will have the option to start your morning with a relaxing sunrise Tai Chi class. After that, you can take to the waters once again by kayaking through the limestone karsts of this incredible region. It’s great to get out on the water and paddle through the sea at your own pace. In the early afternoon and to cap off this amazing cruise, you’ll board a seaplane and soar over Ha Long Bay, taking in all of the spectacular views from above. Once you’ve landed, you’ll head back to Hanoi and check into your hotel for the evening.

On day 9, you will fly from Hanoi to Dong Hoi Airport in the province of Phong Nha. Once you’ve arrived in Phong Nha, you’ll check into a beautiful villa that serves as your base for exploring this adventure capital of Asia. To start off your afternoon, you’ll go on a relaxed cycling tour around the area, taking in all of the beautiful mountains and rivers that surround you. Alternatively, take zip line and kayak into the dark cave, for a swim in the cave’s mud bath. In the early evening, you can head to the duck stop, which is a delightfully strange and fun place and then have a refreshing drink in the bomb crater bar (the site of a 2000lb American bomb). Finally, have a tasty dinner at a local restaurant to sample some delicious Vietnamese cuisine.

On day 10, you will begin your trip to trek HQ, where you will have a short training and orientation. Once you are feeling prepared, you’ll embark on an exciting 2-day/1-night exploration of Hang Pygmy cave. You’ll trek through the beautiful scenery of Phong Nha National Park and other surrounding areas, crossing rivers and exploring caves on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. When you reach your campsite, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch with the guides to refuel for the rest of the day. In the evening, set up camp and spend the night in the mouth of Hang Pygmy, the 4th largest cave in the world – truly an unforgettable experience!

On day 11, you will have a hearty breakfast with your guides and fellow trekkers before continuing your trek through Hang Pygmy cave and the beautiful Phong Nha landscape. After all of the hard work of exploring this massive cave system, you’ll be rewarded with a cold beer in the early afternoon. Finally, when you’ve finished your trek, you can head back to the hotel for a relaxing swim in the pool and some well-deserved downtime. If you’re looking for more activities to do, there are plenty of options available at your hotel, from spa treatments to paddleboarding or kayaking on the river. Whatever your tastes, you’re sure to have an amazing time

On day 12, you will fly from Phong Nha to Danang and then take a taxi to beautiful Hoi An. Once you arrive in this charming town, make your way through the winding streets and explore all that it has to offer. In the afternoon, you can participate in a traditional cooking class, where you will learn how to make some of the local specialties. After your lesson, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Hoi An’s many excellent restaurants, taking in all of the sights and sounds along the Thu Bon River as you dine. Finally, cap off your day with a relaxing lantern boat ride under the stars, taking in the beautiful views and marveling at this truly magical place.

On day 13, you will head to An Bang Beach for a day of snorkelling and exploring the beautiful islands in the area. The boat will take you out and let you explore some of the lesser-known islands and secluded beaches. After adventuring in the water, you can relax on the beach or take a stroll through Hoi An’s old town and explore its bustling night market. With its beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage, this is truly a unique place that you will never forget.

On day 14, you will have the opportunity to drive along the majestic Hai Van Pass and see all of the stunning scenery of Danang. Whether you choose to go rafting down one of Hoa Phu’s river courses or take a walk to the top of marble mountain, there is no shortage of adventure and excitement awaiting you. Alternatively, for your last day take an easy relax on the beach.

We will have a taxi ready and waiting for you at the time you need to take you to the airport and sadly, you will depart for home or your next adventure.
